MANILA, Philippines – Nakipagkasundo ang Department of Education (DepEd) sa Department of Transportation (DOTr) at United Kingdom’s Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office para sa ligtas, accessible, at eco-friendly na transportasyon sa ilalim ng Senate-DepEd Transit-Oriented Development (TOD) Project.
Bahagi nito ang pag-develop ng 14-ektaryang DepEd Complex sa Taguig bilang “Education City” na konektado sa North-South Commuter Railway at Metro Manila Subway sa pamamagitan ng Senate-DepEd station.
“This partnership ensures that our learners and educators will directly benefit from a well-planned, green, and safe environment,” ayon kay Education Secretary Sonny Angara.
Magkakaroon ang hub ng eco-friendly buildings, pabahay para sa mga guro, at training facilities.
Magbibigay ng teknikal na suporta ang UK FCDO habang isinasagawa ng joint working group ang mga pag-aaral para sa susunod na yugto. Inaasahan ding makapagbibigay ang TOD ng pondo para sa pagpapagawa ng classrooms at digital transformation ng DepEd. Santi Celario
