MAGKATUWANG ang Visayas Command at Department of Education (DepEd) sa pag-roll out ng isang mobile E-Learning Hub project na magsisilbi sa mga mag-aaral sa mga malalayong lugar kung saan isang napakalaking “hamon” ang internet at computer access.
Sa katunayan, dumalo si Vice President at DepEd Secretary Sara Duterte sa ‘launching at ribbon-cutting’ ng mobile learning facility sa Ecotech Center Pavilion sa Sudlon, Lahug doon.
Pinasalamatan naman ni Lt. Gen. Benedict Arevalo, Viscom commander, si Duterte at DepEd sa pagtitiwala sa kanila na i-roll out ang proyekto, kasama ang Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) sa rehiyon.
ide-deploy aniya ang proyekto sa mga lugar kung saan nagsasagawa ang military ng Community Support Program (CSP) nito, isang pinaigting na community engagement na naglalayong lipulin ang insurgency pababa sa barangay level.
Ang mobile e-learning hub ay isang modified trailer truck na may 20-foot container van.
Sa loob ng van ay mayroong “20 laptop computers at printers, tables, chairs at shelves, na may Smart TV at internet connection.”
Ang hub ay mayroong generator set upang masiguro na makapago-operate ito sa mga lugar na walang electrical power issues.
“The mobile E-Learning Hub is a welcomed addition to our CSP efforts, as the CSP is not solely to ensure the safety and security of the people, but also on ensuring their well-being,” ayon kay Arevalo sa isang kalatas.
“Hopefully, this project will not be the last. This is the first and we hope that there will be more of this project in the future,” ani Arevalo.
