MANILA, Philippines- Nakauwi na sa kani-kanilang tahanan ang mga residenteng lumikas dahil sa pagputok kamakailan ng Mt. Bulusan, ayon sa Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) nitong Sabado.
Batay kay Assistant Secretary Irene Dumlao ng Disaster Response Management Group (DRMG) ng DSWD, opisyal nang itinigil ang operasyon ng limang evacuation centers na itinatag para sa mga inilikas na pamilya.
“The DSWD’s Field Office (FO) personnel in Bicol Region were among the camp coordinators who helped with the decampment of evacuees. Our agency’s response, however, does not stop here. Monitoring efforts will continue especially as Mt. Bulusan remains on Alert Level 1,” pahayag ni Dumlao.
Sinabi naman ng DSWD na nananatili itong naka-high alert at handang mag-deploy ng karagdagang relief supplies kung kinakailangan.
Nagkaroon ang bulkang Bulusan ng phreatic eruption noong April 28 at noong April 30 na nagdulot ng ashfall sa ilang bayan. RNT/SA
