MANILA, Philippines – Inatasan ng Supreme Court (SC) ang Kamara, Senado at si Executive Secretary Lucas Bersamin na magsumite ng orihinal na mga kopya ng 2025 General Appropriations Bill (GAB) at 2025 General Appropriations Enrolled Bill (GAEB).
Sa direktiba ng SC En Banc, sinabihan sina Executive Secretary Lucas P. Bersamin, Senate President Francis Joseph G. Escudero at House Speaker Ferdinand Martin G. Romualdez na isumite “by personal service” ang mga dokumento nang hindi lalagpas sa Feb. 24.
Una nang naghain sina dating Executive Secretary Vic Rodriguez, Davao City 3rd District Rep. Isidro Ungab, at iba pa ng petisyon na kumukwestyon sa legalidad ng Republic Act No. 12116, General Appropriations Act (GAA) of 2025.
Ipinahayag pa sa petisyon na ang ulat umano ng bicameral conference committee sa budget ay mga walang laman na item.
Itinakda ng Mataas na Hukuman ang preliminary conference sa Feb. 28 dito sa Maynila habang ang oral arguments sa kaso ay sa April 1 sa summer session nito sa Baguio City. Teresa Tavares
