MANILA, Philippines – Narekober ang nasa P6.9 milyong halaga ng hinihinalang iligal na droga sa apat na abandonadong parcel sa Central Mail Exchange Center sa Pasay City, sinabi ng Philippine National Police (PNP) nitong Biyernes, Abril 24.
Ang mga parcel ay napuna noong Huwebes sa isang routine X-ray screening ng Bureau of Customs personnel at kalaunan ay naberipika sa pamamagitan ng K-9 at manual inspections.
Nadiskubre ng mga awtoridad ang kabuuang 4.2 kilo ng hinihinalang dried marijuana kush leaves at 235 piraso ng hinihinalang ecstacy.
“Initial findings showed that the parcels originated from various international locations and were misdeclared as common items such as food and toys,” ayon sa PNP.
“The intended consignees, who have yet to claim the shipments, are now under further investigation,” dagdag pa.
Sinabi ng pulisya na ang mga narekober na droga ay ituturn-over sa Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency para sa tamang disposisyon. RNT/JGC
