MANILA, Philippines- Bineberipika ng Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) ang mga ulat na dalawang Pilipino ang nasawi sa baha sa Dubai nang makuryente sa tubig.
“Our consulate is checking with the Filipino community members there reports that two unfortunately died from electrocution and we’re verifying it. We hope not,” pahayag ni DFA Undersecretary Eduardo de Vega sa Kamara nitong Huwebes ng hapon.
Sinabi ni De Vega na dumalo sa briefing ng House Committee on Overseas Workers Affairs, na nakatanggap ng ulat ang DFA na dalawang Pilipino ang nakuryente sa tubig.
“We’re going to repatriate the remains if necessary,” anang opisyal.
“Others Filipinos are fine so far. But the Consulate has advised the Filipino community–sa Dubai ang worst (Dubai was hit the worst)–to follow the local government rules to stay at home,” dagdag pa niya.
Ayon kay De Vega, nahihirapan ang mga lokal na awtoridad sa Dubai sa United Arab Emirates (UAE) sa pagresponde sa baha roon.
