“As of this time, the Embassy has not received any report of Filipino nationals who were harmed by this unfortunate disaster,” ang sinabi ng embahada sa social media pages nito.
“The Embassy continues to monitor the situation for any Filipino nationals who may be affected and may need immediate assistance due to the earthquake,” dagdag nito.
“The Embassy further advises Filipinos in Thailand to monitor updates from credible and verifiable sources of information, and avoid spreading fake and unverified news,” anito pa.
“Fortunately, walang Filipinos living in high-rise apartments. Kasi Bangkok, kahapon medyo chaotic after the earthquake. People were on the streets, and they’ll be told not to enter the high buildings while they make sure that they’re sound. Structure-ready. Filipinos don’t live in those places. And Myanmar, they mostly live in Yangon or Naypyidaw and that’s far from the epicenter,” ang sinabi ni De Vega sa isang panayam.
“The Philippines is ready to send teams to help in rescue operations, but the country is more likely to send aid in the form of money and food,”dagdag ni De Vega.
