MANILA, Philippines – Kinondena ng Land Transportation Office (LTO) nitong Sabado, Mayo 25 ang pagpatay sa isa sa mga opisyal ng ahensya sa pananambang sa Quezon City nitong Biyernes ng gabi.
“The entire Land Transportation Office (LTO) family condemns in the strongest terms the killing of one of our own, Mercedita Gutierrez, in a gun attack in Quezon City on Friday, May 24,” saad sa pahayag ni LTO Chief Assistant Secretary Atty. Vigor Mendoza II.
Si Gutierrez ang hepe ng Registration Section ng LTO Central Office.
“This is a cowardly act and we assure her family and the public of our untiring efforts to coordinate with the Philippine National Police and closely monitor the investigation of this incident to bring all perpetrators of this crime behind bars,” ani Mendoza.
“On behalf of the men and women of the LTO, I extend my sincerest condolences to her loved ones, and likewise join them in seeking justice for this dastardly act,” dagdag pa niya.
Si Gutierrez ay binaril habang sakay ng Starex van sa Barangay Pinyahan, Quezon City.
Ayon sa saksi, hinarang ng isang motorsiklo ang sinasakyan ni Gutierrez. Dito na bumunot ng baril ang salarin at pinaputukan ang biktima ng dalawang beses.
Tumangging magbigay ng karagdagang komento ang LTO habang nagpapatuloy ang imbestigasyon at ang motibo sa pamamaril. RNT/JGC
