MANILA, Philippines – Hindi nakadalo si Senator-elect Kiko Pangilinan sa proklamasyon ng mga nanalong senador.
Ito ay dahil kailangan niyang dumalo sa graduation ng anak sa Estados Unidos.
Sa pahayag, sinabi ni Pangilinan na:
“With deep humility and immense gratitude, I accept the mandate given to me by the Filipino people.”
Matatandaan na nasurpresa si Pangilinan sa resulta ng eleksyon lalo’t hindi naman siya nakakapasok sa Top 12 ng mga survey.
Nakakuha si Pangilinan ng 15,343, 229 boto at nasa ikalimang pwesto.
“No political force will surpass the people that take a chance, act and stand for a singular goal. And we’ve proved that with our victory,” ani Pangilinan.
