MANILA, Philippines – PINURI ni Pangulong Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. ang mga residente at lokal na pamahalaan ng Davao del Sur para sa kanilang kahanga-hangang pagsisikap at pagtutulungan para sa progreso ng lalawigan.
Kinilala ng Pangulo ang kanilang achievements o tagumpay sa nakalipas na taon.
Sa naging talumpati ng Pangulo sa ika-56 founding anniversary ng Davao del Sur, sinabi nito na hindi lamang dapat na ipagdiwang ng mga residente at local government officials ang founding anniversary ng lalawigan kundi maging ang pagsisikap ng mga ito na matamo ang progreso.
“So, I am honored by all of you and those who came before you for having the heart to work together to turn the province into the peaceful and progressive place that it is today. But here in Davao del Sur, the 56 years of peace and progress in the many communities that make up the province (is a great achievement). Let us give everyone a big round of applause for these 56 years,” ayon sa Pangulo.
Sa kabilang dako, kinilala rin ng Punong Ehekutibo ang Davao del Sur dahil naging una sa Davao Region na nagdeklara ng insurgency-free at sa “diligent at compassionate” na implementasyon ng ‘Tupad Pangako Program’ kung saan naging matagumpay ang mga dating rebelde na muling bumalik at sumama sa lipunan at maging bahagi ng nation-building efforts.
Kinilala rin ng Pangulo ang dedikasyon ng provincial government na paghusayin ang serbisyo at pasilidad lalo na ang healthcare system nito, at ang nagpapatuloy na digitalisasyon at government processes para makamit ang sound fiscal management at bureaucratic efficiency.
“To all the local leaders: Thank you for your service to the province and to your people. It’s very encouraging to see you all working hand in hand, and to know that the Provincial Government’s projects are all aligned with my Administration’s Eight-Point Socioeconomic Agenda,” ayon sa Punong Ehekutibo.
“I urge all of you to remain determined in promoting peace, in promoting development in your province. With the local government focusing on all aspects of your daily life that we have identified in the national agenda, we can look forward to a boost in local businesses, improved daily transactions, and an overall better quality of life,” dagdag na wika nito.
At sa lahat aniya ng tagumpay ng lalawigan, tiniyak naman ng Pangulo sa mga residente at provincial officials ang full support ng gobyerno at siguruhin ang tagumpay ng kanilang inisyatiba at tagumpay ng mga mamamayan ng Davao del Sur.
At bago pa magtapos ang talumpati ng Pangulo ay pinasalamatan nito ang mga mamamayan ng Davao del Sur para sa patuloy na suporta ng mga ito mula nang siya ay tumakbo sa Pangulo noong May 2022 elections hanggang sa kasalukuyan.
Inulit naman ng Chief Executive ang pagkakaisa na aniya’y “constant challenge” sa mga filipino at sa bansa.
“So, I call on you: Let us make the province a beacon of progress for Mindanao and for the rest of the country. Let us unite in taking care of your rich plains and valleys, your wonderful beaches, abundant seas, and, most importantly, the beautiful and reliable people that make this province truly remarkable,” ang panawagan ng Pangulo.
Samantala, hinikayat naman ng Pangulo ang mga residente at mga lokal na opisyal na “come together to provide brighter, more stable, and more prosperous lives for ourselves, our families, and for those who come after us.”
