PBBM sa pagtuturo bilang bokasyon: ‘No teacher does it for money’

MANILA, Philippines – PINURI ni Pangulong Ferdinand Marcos Jr. ang mga Filipinong guro sa pagiging matapat sa kanilang ‘bokasyon’ na tulungan ang mga mag-aaral sa halip na gawin ito para sa pera.

Dahil dito, maikokonsidera ang mga guro bilang mga bayani ng bansa.

Sinabi ito ng Pangulo sa isinagawang ceremonial signing ng Joint Memorandum Circular na nakahanay sa Board Licensure Examination for Professional Teachers kasama ang Teacher Education Curriculum ng Commission on Higher Education (CHED).

Binigyang diin ni Pangulong Marcos na pinasok ng mga guro ang kanilang propesyon hindi dahil sa pera kundi dahil sa bokasyon.

”I have said this many times before and I will say it once more: I treat teachers as the heroes of our country. They are the ones who hold the future in their hands. And when you see teachers, when people say, ‘We have to help the teachers. We have to help the teachers. And why do teachers become teachers?’ And the first — the first conclusion I come to it, ‘May kilala ka bang milyonaryo na teacher?”’ ang sinabi ni Pangulong Marcos.

”So, no teachers enter the teaching profession for money. So, why do they do it considering the sacrifice that they have to go through? Considering the difficulties that they have to face? Not only from the actual teaching environment but for all the other things that they have to – that they have to continue to do in service of their vocation. And that’s why, call it a vocation. Teachers teach because it is their vocation,” aniya pa rin.

Winika pa rin ng Pangulo na ang paglagda sa joint memorandum circular ay kumakatawan sa commitment ng administrasyon na tiyakin na ”every Filipino teacher is equipped with the skills and tools needed to teach with depth, with clarity, and with purpose.”

”It is a vital step towards raising the quality of education for our present and, most importantly, our future generations,”aniya pa rin.

”Through the close cooperation of the Professional Regulation Commission and the Commission on Higher Education, we are aligning our systems to ensure the Licensure Examination reflects the actual competencies needed in classrooms today—whether in early childhood education, special needs education, or the many subjects taught in high schools across the country,” ang sinabi ng Chief Executive.

Sinabi pa rin ng Punong Ehekutibo na ang licensure examinations para sa mga naghahangad na maging guro ay isasagawa ng hiwalay depende sa larangan na kanilang sinasanay.

Nangangahulugan aniya ito na natatanging pagsusulit para sa mga ang isinusulong na karera ay sa elementary education at sa mga secondary education.

Nangako naman si Pangulong Marcos na sa ilalim ng kanyang liderato, ang bawat hakbang ay isasakatuparan upang makapag-produce ng ng mas mahusay na mga guro.

”Alongside this, we are giving education graduates not just another shot—but we are giving them a good chance. Because what they learn should prepare them for the test that they are meant to take and the classrooms they are meant to lead,” ayon sa Pangulo.

”While we await the full passage of the amendatory law, we will continue to build on this system that produces better teachers—well equipped to teach, and in doing so, uplift countless generations of Filipino learners,” aniya pa rin. Kris Jose
