PBGEN. BACCAY STRONG STAND AGAINST ROBBERY

POLICE work is not only about solving crimes after they happen. The real challenge is stopping criminals before they can harm innocent people.

That is exactly what happened in Cainta, Rizal, where police arrested four suspected members of a robbery group while they were attempting to break into the vault of a convenience store.

The operation is more than an ordinary arrest. It is one of the first major accomplishments under the leadership of Police Regional Office 4A Director PBGen. Dominic Baccay.

Because of the quick response of the Cainta Municipal Police Station, the suspects were caught in the act before they could escape with cash or put the lives of store employees at greater risk.

The operation also showed the importance of CCTV monitoring, fast police action and strong coordination between businesses and law enforcement.

Even more important is the ongoing investigation that links the arrested suspects to a series of convenience store robberies in Rizal and nearby areas.

If the evidence confirms these connections, the operation could help solve several robbery cases and prevent more businesses from becoming victims.

It also sends a strong warning that organized robbery groups are now under closer watch.

The success of the operation is similar to the recent accomplishment of Police Regional Office 3 under PBGen. Jess Mendez, where three robbery suspects were neutralized after an armed encounter along the North Luzon Expressway.

While the situations were different, both operations had the same goal — to stop dangerous criminals before they could strike again.

For Baccay, this early success sets the tone for his leadership in CALABARZON.

It shows that effective policing is not measured only by arrests but by crimes prevented and lives protected.

The message is clear: criminals who think they can freely operate in the region should think again.

Under Baccay’s leadership, the fight against organized robbery is gaining strength, giving the public greater confidence that the police are ready to act quickly, decisively and effectively whenever crime threatens the community.
