MANILA, Philippines- Bumubuo ang Philippine law enforcement agencies ng mga kagamitan upang labanan ang artificial intelligence-generated child exploitation materials, ayon sa Philippine National Police (PNP) nitong Huwebes.
Sa Palace press briefing, sinabi ni PNP-Women and Children Protection Center chief Police Brigadier General Portia Manalad na lumilikha rin ng mga instrumento ang ibang bansa na tutukoy sa AI-generated child sexual abuse or exploitation materials (CSAEM).
”Right now, we don’t have AI-generated [child sexual abuse] but the Philippine National Police… of course we are preparing for that. I just arrived from a meeting, through the Virtual Global Task Force where we are… even other countries like South Korea [are] still developing a tool to identify AI-generated CSAEM,” pahayag ni Manalad.
”As partners of those countries, we are trying to develop those tools,” dagdag niya.
Inatasan ni Pangulong Ferdinand ”Bongbong” Marcos Jr. ang Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) at ang PNP na paigtingin ang monitoring ng child abuse cases sa Pilipinas maging sa ibang bansa.
Gayundin, ipinag-utos ni Marcos sa Department of Justice (DOJ) at sa PNP ”to come down on perpetrators with the full weight of the law,” at sinabihan ang Department of Social Welfare and Development at iba pang ahensya ”to streamline and improve the process of investigation to make sure the children are protected and families are properly reintegrated.”
