ISRAEL – Pumanaw ang isang Pinay caregiver na nagtatrabaho sa Israel nitong Linggo ng umaga dahil sa mga pinsalang natamo niya sa isang Iranian missile attack noong Hunyo 15.
Ayon sa Embahada ng Pilipinas sa Israel, sa isang pahayag na nai-post sa kanilang Official Facebook page, ay inihayag ang pagkamatay ni Leah Mosquera, isang 49-taong-gulang na tagapag-alaga mula sa Negros Occidental.
“It is with deep sorrow that the Philippine Embassy in Israel announces that Ms. Leah Mosquera, a 49-year-old Filipina caregiver from Negros Occidental, passed away this morning due to severe injuries she sustained when an Iranian missile struck her Rehovot apartment on 15 June,” sabi ng Embahada.
Matapos ang pag-atake, isinugod si Mosquera sa Shamir Medical Center, kung saan siya ay sumailalim sa maraming operasyon. Ipinaglaban niya ang kanyang buhay sa Intensive Care Unit sa loob ng ilang linggo.
“During this time, she was lovingly cared for by her sister Joy, who also works here in Israel. Joy shared the sad news of her sister’s passing and consented to the release of the information to the public,” saad ng embahada.
“The Embassy expresses its deepest gratitude to her and extends heartfelt condolences to the entire Mosquera family in the Philippines.”
Si Mosquera ay dapat mag-50 ngayong Hulyo 29.
Ang Embahada ay nagtatrabaho na ngayon sa pagsasaayos ng repatriation para sa Mosquera, at ipinangako ang pagbibigay ng lahat ng kinakailangang tulong. RNT/MND
