MANILA, Philippines – Nagpaalala si Pope Francis sa mga pari ng Simbahang Katolika na huwag palampasin ng 10 minuto.
Ito ay upang maiwasan umano na antukin ang mga makikinig sa kanilang sermon.
“After eight minutes, preaching gets dispersive and no one understands,” sinabi ni Pope Francis sa harap ng mga audience nito sa St. Peter’s Square.
“Never go over 10 minutes, ever! This is very important. Priests must not preach about themselves but about the Gospel,” dagdag pa niya.
Sinabi naman ng Papa na ang ilang sermon ay maaari namang umabot ng mula 20 hanggang 30 inuto.
Ngunit para maging epektibo ang sermon, dapat umano ay mayroon itong “one idea, one sentiment, and one invitation to action” na maihahatid sa loob ng 10 minuto.
Matatandaan na ipinaalala na rin ito ni Pope Francis sa mga pari noong Hunyo.
“Those listening have to do their part, too,” ani Pope Francis nang magsalita siya sa mga pari noon.
“They must give the appropriate attention, thus assuming the proper interior dispositions, without subjective demands, knowing that every preacher has both his merits and his limits.” RNT/JGC
