QCPD: Pride Festival sa QC ‘generally peaceful’

MANILA, Philippines- Iniulat ng Quezon City Police District (QCPD) na “generally peaceful” ang pagdiriwang ng Pride Month noong Sabado.

Walang naiulat na anomalya ang mga awtoridad sa nasabing kaganapan.

Binubuo ang event ng tatlong major activities: graduation rites, food and art expo, at Pride March. 

Dinaluhan ang Pride program, Pride Market, at Pride Night ng mahigit 200,000 miyembro at taga-suporta ng Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer, Intersex, and Asexual (LGBTQIA+) community, advocates, at allies.

Iniugnay ni QCPD Director Brig. Gen. Redrico Maranan ang positibong resulta ng akibidad sa mga tauhan ng QCPD at local government agencies, tulad ng Department of Public Order and Safety (DPOS), Traffic and Transport Management Department (TTMD), at Quezon City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (DRRMO).

Kinilala rin niya ang iba pang ahensya, kabilang ang Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) at ang Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA), sa pagtitiyak ng kaligtasan ng publiko sa pagdiriwang.

Nagpasalamat naman si Maranan sa kooperasyon ng publiko at suporta ng iba’t ibang organisasyon.

“The success of this year’s festival is a testament to the collaborative efforts of the QCPD, volunteers, organizers, and the community. It shows that through unity and respect, peaceful and joyous celebrations are possible. The QCPD remains committed to ensuring the safety of all QCitizens,” pahayag ng opisyal. RNT/SA
