SANDOVAL- NOLASCO TANDEM WINS MALABON TOP POSTS

IN a landslide victory during the 2025 National and Local Elections held on May 12, incumbent Malabon Mayor Jeannie Sandoval and running mate now Vice Mayor-elect Edward Nolasco emerged victorious, reaffirming their strong support from Malabueños especially the local voters.

Now in her second term, the city’s first female chief executive expressed her commitment to expanding quality public programs and driving economic growth.

She handily beat her rival for the mayoral race, incumbent Rep. Jaye Lacson-Noel while Nolasco had a commanding lead against Barangay Longos and former actress Angelika Dela Cruz.

A recipient of multiple awards for her performance as a public servant during her first term, Sandoval shared that she would push her Lucky 9-point agenda that focuses on strengthening the economy, livelihood, businesses, employment, free health services at the Ospital ng Malabon for Malabuenos and their pets, supporting the development of the Dampalit Port Economic Zone, and making Malabon a smart city that provides quality services for all.

“Ito po ang patunay na tayong mga Malabueño ay tunay na nagkakaisa, tunay na nagnanais ng patuloy na progreso para sa pagpapabuti ng buhay ng bawat isa. Lubos po ang aming pasasalamat sa suporta ng ating mga kababayan na patuloy na naniniwala sa ating mga layunin. Naka-ahon na tayo. Ngayon, sama-sama po tayo, nagkakaisa tungo sa ating pangarap na mas maunlad na lungsod kung saan lahat ay may pagkakataon mapabuti ang buhay,” the mayor said.

For his part, Nolasco said: “Maraming salamat po sa suporta ng bawat Malabueño sa ating layunin. Makakaasa po kayong tayo ay magiging boses ng bawat Malabueño at magpapatuloy sa pagsasagawa ng mga programang para sa inyo.

For council posts, winning ’Team Kakampi’ candidates were District 1 Councilors Maricar Torres, Ian Borja, Leslie Yambao, Paulo Oreta, Gerald Bernardo, Payapa Ona and District 2 Councilors Nadja Vicencio, Jasper Cruz, and Len Yanga.

Wasting no time, Sandoval led other key officials in the clearing operations to remove all election campaign materials all over the city.
