SURVEY SAYS, MAYOR ‘ALONG’ ANOTHER TERM IN THE BAG

IT looks Caloocan City Mayor Dale Gonzalo ‘Along’ Malapitan is sure to keep his post for the second term as indicated by the overwhelming trust of the residents on his leadership based on the latest survey.

The Social Weather Station surveys for the months of October 2024 and February 2025 showed the high positive net trust rating from his constituents ahead of the May 12, 2025 local elections.

Garnering a +75 net trust rating, the survey results pointed to his administration’s people-oriented and comprehensive programs and policies that made the mayor extra popular to his constituents.

The son of equally-competent and dedicated public servant, former mayor and now District 1 Rep. Oca Malapitan, has been credited for vastly improving the city’s state of education, health, public safety, livelihood, and infrastructure.

Meanwhile, rival mayoral bet and former senator Antonio Trillanes IV continues to see a decline in his net trust rating wherein he scored a -10 rating for October 2024 that worsened to a -22 rating on February 2025.

“Such a trend may eventually decide the mayoral race, as the citizens of Caloocan have consistently manifested the overwhelming trust they bestowed upon Mayor Along Malapitan to effect a continuity in the quality programs that they currently enjoy and to lead the city in the right direction,” a group of long-time residents said.

5K residents benefit from medical missions

Thousands of residents benefitted anew from free health services provided by the city government as part of the celebration of its 63rd Cityhood Anniversary.

It started the month with the free Medical & One-Stop Shop Community-Based Health Services, which served almost 1,200 individuals.

Meanwhile, both the Caloocan City Medical Center and the Caloocan City-North Medical Center conducted week-long free medical services, wherein a combined number of almost 3,500 individuals availed of a wide array of medical services.

The mayor expressed his utmost gratitude to the city’s doctors, nurses, and health workers, as well as to the whole CCMC and CCNMC community for adhering to his administration’s directives in making quality health services consistently accessible for all.
