MANILA, Philippines – Nalampasan pa ang target sales ng mga sasakyan noong 2023 sa 429,807 units, sinabi ng Chamber of Automotive Manufacturers of the Philippines, Inc. (CAMPI) and Truck Manufacturers Association (TMA) nitong Miyerkules, Enero 17.
Nahigitan nito ang target sales na 423,000 units para sa 2023, saad sa joint report ng CAMPI at TMA.
Iniulat din ng CAMPI at TMA na lumago ng 21.9% ang vehicle sales nila sa 2023, mula sa 352,596 units na naibenta noong 2022.
“2023 was a very strong year for the industry and we are very excited about 2024. Positive economic outlook, new model introductions and the electrification trend are expected to contribute to record-breaking sales this year,” ani CAMPI president Rommel Gutierrez.
Parehong lumago ng mahigit 20% ang passenger at commercial vehicle segments para sa buong taon ng 2023, kumpara sa 2022 level.
Tumaas sa 109,264 units sa 2023 ang full-year sales ng passenger cars, o 27.2% na mas mataas kumpara sa 85,897 units na naibenta noong 2022.
Ang commercial vehicle sales ay tumaas din ng 20.2 percent sa 320,543 units noong nakaraang taon mula sa 266,699 vehicles noong 2022.
Para sa Disyembre 2023 lamang, tumaas ng 5.1% ang local vehicle sales sa 39,153 units mula 37,259 units sa nakalipas na 12 buwan.
Nangunguna sa Philippine automotive vehicle industry sa 2023 ang Toyota, sa 46.5 percent market share; sinundan ng Mitsubishi, sa 18.2 percent; Ford, sa 7.3 percent; Nissan, sa 6.3 percent; at Suzuki, sa 4.3 percent. RNT/JGC
