MANILA, Philippines- Inihayag ng state weather bureau PAGASA na inaasahang aabot si Tropical Depression Julian sa typhoon strength sa Linggo at maaaring magdulot ng pagtataas ng Tropical Cyclone Wind Signal (TCWS) No. 3.
“The highest Wind Signal which may be hoisted during the occurrence of JULIAN is Wind Signal No. 2 or 3,” ayon sa PAGASA sai 11 a.m. bulletin nitong Biyernes.
“The tropical depression will continuously intensify throughout the forecast period and may reach tropical storm category tonight or tomorrow morning. Furthermore, it may become a typhoon on Sunday,” dagdag nito.
Inaasahang itataas ang TWCS No. 1 sa ilang bahagi ng Cagayan Valley sa Biyernes, ayon sa PAGASA.
Matatagpuan si Julian 525 kilometro sa silangan ng Itbayat, Batanes na may maximum sustained winds na 55 kph malapit sa sentro at gustiness hanggang 70 kph, ayon sa PAGASA. RNT/SA
