MANILA, Philippines – Mag-iisyu ng show cause order ang Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) laban sa drayber ng transport network vehicle service (TNVS) na nagpost nang malaswa online tungkol sa aktres na si Xyriel Manabat.
“Bukod po sa pagsuspinde ng TNC (Transport Network Company), ang LTFRB ay maglalabas ng show-cause order po dito sa driver na ‘to,” sinabi ni LTFRB board member Greg Pua sa isang briefing.
“Na-identify na po natin kung sino ‘yung driver, sino ‘yung operator. Within the day, we will issue the necessary show-cause order,” dagdag pa niya.
Ito ay kasunod ng post ng Facebook user na si Boss Toyo Mansi tampok ang larawan niya at ni Manabat na nakasakay sa TNVS.
Malisyoso umano ang naging caption ng naturang drayber na agad namang na-screenshot ng ibang mga netizen.
Siniguro naman ni Manabat na pananagutin niya ang TNVS driver at iginiit na ang naturang post ay hindi dapat ituring na ‘harmless’ o biro lamang.
“Now that I’m seeing this, I’m sure na I’ll do something about it. Hindi dapat nagiging entertainment ‘yan in any form. And at the same time, I hope the platform or the app should do something about this because it’s not petty.”
Sinabi naman ng Grab Philippines na inilagay na nito ang drayber sa preventive suspension habang nagpapatuloy ang imbestigasyon.
Naglabas din ito ng formal apology para kay Manabat na anila ay “unacceptable.”
“What was reported is deeply concerning and does not reflect the standards we uphold on the platform,” saad sa pahayag ng Grab.
“We are already in direct contact with Ms. Manabat, have offered our full support and ensured her concerns were heard. We are also prepared to cooperate fully with relevant authorities,” dagdag pa. RNT/JGC
