MANILA, Philippines – Siniguro ng Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (PHIVOLCS) na walang banta ng tsunami sa bansa kasunod ng magnitude 6.7 na lindol na tumama sa Japan nitong Biyernes ng umaga, Disyembre 12.
“No destructive tsunami threat exists based on available data. This is for information purposes only and there is no tsunami threat to the Philippines from this earthquake,” saad sa tsunami information ng PHIVOLCS.
“No action required,” dagdag ng ahensya.
Ayon sa PHIVOLCS, tumama ang lindol sa east coast ng Honshu Island bandang 10:44 ng umaga.
