MANILA, Philippines – Aabot sa dalawa pang tropical cyclone ang posibleng pumasok sa Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) sa Disyembre, sinabi ng Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) nitong Lunes.
“This December, we expect one to two tropical cyclones to form or enter the Philippine Area of Responsibility,” ayon kay Pagasa weather specialist Obet Badrina sa 5 a.m. forecast.
Kasalukuyang binabantayan ng Pagasa ang posibleng bagyo sa silangan ng PAR, alas-5 ng umaga.
Sinabi ni Badrina na ang cloud cluster na papalapit sa PAR ay maaaring maging low-pressure area sa mga susunod na araw.
“We are monitoring a cloud cluster in the eastern part of the Philippine Area of Responsibility. Based on the latest data, it is still a cloud cluster for now, but could become a low-pressure area in the coming days and enter the PAR,” ayon kay Badrina.
Kung ang cloud cluster ay magiging isang tropical cyclone, ito ay magiging ika-23 na papasok sa PAR at bibigyan ng lokal na pangalang Wilma. RNT/MND
