MANILA, Philippines – BLINOCK na ng National Telecommunications Commission (NTC) ang dalawang websites na natuklasang nagpopromote ng real-world violence at online grooming sa mga menor de edad.
Sinabi ni Philippine National Police (PNP) spokesperson Col. Allen Rae Co na ang hakbang ay bahagi ng pagsisikap ng Anti-Cybercrime Group’s (ACG) na subaybayan ang mga online activities na maaaring mauwi sa “acts of violence” kabilang na ang pamamaril sa eskuwelahan at online threat pranks.
“The ACG, upon the directive and instruction of our SILG (Secretary of Interior and Local Government Jonvic Remulla) as well as our chief PNP chief (Gen. Jose Melencio Nartatez Jr.), coordinated directly with the NTC for the blocking of certain websites espousing real-world violence and grooming,” ayon kay Co.
“So it was positively replied to by the NTC and the NTC has already directed our ISPs (internet service providers) to block access sa mga websites na ito,” anito.
Winika pa ni Co na ang websites ay nananatiling online subalit ‘inaccessible’ o hindi na naa-access sa Pilipinas.
“The PNP is also identifying other websites that may promote violence,” ani Co.
Ang kaganapang ito ay nangyari sa gitna ng ilang kaso ng school-related violence na naiulat sa bansa simula noong June 16, kabilang na ang pamamaril at pananaksak.
Dahil dito, nagbabala si Co sa mga menor de edad at mga estudyante laban sa pagpo-post ng social media content na maaaring magdulot ng pangamba sa publiko o pagkataranta, sabay sabing mahaharap sa legal consequences ang mga responsable.
