MANILA, Philippines – Natuklasan ng Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) at Philippine National Police (PNP) ang 252 “ghost projects” sa kanilang inspeksyon ng mga proyektong pampubliko.
Ayon kay AFP spokesperson Col. Francel Margareth Padilla sa isang press briefing sa Camp Aguinaldo, mula sa 10,000 proyekto na kanilang sinuri, 252 ang hindi tunay na naisakatuparan.
“There were 30,000 projects that were deemed for the AFP and the PNP collectively to inspect. From these 30,000 projects, 10,000 na po ‘yung ating na-inspect on the side of the AFP,” aniya. “It turned out that the total of around 252 of these na naiikot na po namin are ghost projects from 2016 to present.”
Ang Independent Commission for Infrastructure (ICI), na itinatag ni Pangulong Marcos sa pamamagitan ng Executive Order 94, ay nagsisiyasat sa anomalous flood control projects. Kasama si AFP chief Gen. Romeo Brawner Jr. sa technical working group ng ICI.
