4K inasistihan sa ‘Walang Gutom Kitchen’ ng DSWD

MANILA, Philippines- Mahigit 4,000 indibidwal na nakararanas ng involuntary hunger ang pinakain sa Walang Gutom Kitchen ng Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) sa Pasay City mula nang ilunsad ito noong Dec. 16.

“We were able to feed a total of 4,452 individuals experiencing involuntary hunger from its launching date up to December 24,” pahayag ni DSWD spokesperson Assistant Secretary Irene Dumlao base sa news release nitong Huwebes.

“We are very grateful for the food donations from the different establishments. We would like to reiterate that the food we are offering is not discarded food or ‘pagpag’ (leftover) as some people call it,” aniya.

“We are equally thankful to the volunteers who, even on holidays, spent their time serving food to the beneficiaries of the kitchen,” wika ni Dumlao.

Bukas ang Walang Gutom Kitchen mula Dec. 26 hanggang 31 at pansamantalang isasara sa Jan. 1, 2025, Bagong Taon. RNT/SA
