62 Chinese ships namataan sa WPS noong Pebrero – PH Navy

MANILA, Philippines – Nasa kabuuang 62 Chinese vessels kabilang ang mga warship ang namonitor sa ilang features ng West Philippine Sea (WPS) noong Pebrero, iniulat ng Philippine Navy nitong Martes, Marso 3.

Sa update mula kay Philippine Navy spokesperson for WPS Rear Admiral Roy Vincent Trinidad, namataan ang mga Chinese ship sa mga sumusunod na lugar:

Bajo de Masinloc – 23 Chinese vessels (11 People’s Liberation Army Navy vessels, 12 China Coast Guard vessels)
Ayungin Shoal – 17 vessels (two PLANs, 15 CCGs)
Escoda Shoal – 13 vessels (six PLANs, seven CCGs)
Pagasa Island – nine vessels (five PLANs, four CCGs)

“These figures reflect continued illegal CCP presence in areas wherein the Philippines exercises sovereignty, jurisdiction, and sovereignty rights,” ani Trinidad.

“In line with the national policy, the AFP remains committed to safeguarding national territory, sovereignty, and sovereign rights, while upholding international law and contributing to regional police and stability,” dagdag pa niya.

Ang West Philippine Sea ay tumutukoy sa maritime areas sa kanluran ng Pilipinas kabilang ang Luzon Sea at mga dagat sa paligid nito kabilang ang Kalayaan Island Group at Bajo de Masinloc. RNT/JGC
