Quezon niyanig ng M-5.1 quake

MANILA, Philippines- Tumama ang magnitude 5.1 na lindol sa lalawigan ng Quezon nitong Martes ng tanghali at naramdaman sa ilang bahagi ng Metro Manila, kung saan naglabasan ang mga indibidwal na nasa government buildings.

Natukoy ang tectonic tremor 24 kilometers northwest ng General Nakar. May lalim itong 6 kilometers, base sa Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology.

Dahil sa pagyanig, naglabasan ang mga tao sa ilang gusali sa Metro Manila, kabilang ang Palasyo, Senate, House of Representatives, National Bureau of Investigation, Commission on Elections, at Department of Migrant Workers. 

Pansamantalang itinigil ng LRT-1, LRT-2, at MRT-3 ang serbisyo nito dahil sa lindol. 

“For the moment, we are expecting damage and expecting aftershocks,” pahayag ni Phivolcs Director Teresito Bacolcol.

“So far, ang nakuha nating intensity is Intensity 2 lamang sa Taguig. But this will be updated as we get more information,” dagdag niya. RNT/SA
