MANILA, Philippines- Mainit na tinanggap ni Pangulong Ferdinand Marcos Jr. ang walong bagong non-resident ambassadors-designate mula sa iba’t ibang bansa.
Nangako ang Pangulo na paiigtingin ang bilateral cooperation sa ibang bansa.
Kabilang sa mga nagpresenta ng kanilang credentials sina Ibrahim Bileh Doualeh, non-resident ambassador-designate ng Republic of Djibouti; Jagdishwar Goburdhun, G.O.S.K., Republic of Mauritius; Farhod Arziev, Republic of Uzbekistan; at Hassan Abdelsalam Omer, Republic of Sudan.
Gayundin, sinalubong ni Pangulong Marcos sina Major General Gotsileene Morake, non-resident ambassador-designate ng Republic of Botswana; Mait Martinson, Republic of Estonia; Morecome Mumba; Republic of Zambia; at Abdelhafid Bounour, People’s Democratic Republic of Algeria.
Sa pagtanggap naman sa Estonian ambassador sa Malakanyang, nagpahayag ng pag-asa si Pangulong Marcos na ipagpapatuloy ng Pilipinas ang usapin sa security issues kasama ang European nation.
“We welcome you as ambassador to the Philippines as I’m sure that your President has begun very important talks in terms of some of the security issues that both our countries are happy to [address]. I hope that we can continue with that discussion,” ayon kay Pangulong Marcos.
Samantala, sinabi naman ni Ambassador Martinson, ang Philippine-Estonia relationship ay “positive renaissance” kung saan maaaring pagsamahin ng dalawang bansa ang kanilang “complementary experiences” sa iba’t ibang larangan kabilang na ang digital development at cybersecurity.
“If we really manage to get the best and to raise it for our world. If we really manage to get the best and to raise it for our wealth benefits. And I’m glad I’m here with a wonderful honor and console who is making sure that we have a positive outcome in our relation,” ang sinabi ni Martinson kay Pangulong Marcos.
Sa pasalubing sa envoy ng Mauritius, umaasa si Pangulong Marcos na sisiyasatin ng dalawang bansa ang mga pamamaraan para palakasin ang kanilang relasyon.
“I officially welcome you as the ambassador of the Republic of Mauritius to the Philippines and I hope that [during the] time that you are here we can find ways to explore partnerships,” wika ni Pangulong Marcos.
Bilang tugon, sinabi naman ni Ambassador Goburdhun na nakatingin siya sa “special collaboration” sa Pilipinas pagdating sa sektor ng kalusugan at agrikultura upang labanan ang mga sakit at palakasin ang agricultural production.
Ukol naman sa Sudanese ambassador, sinabi ni Pangulong Marcos na, “I hope your time as Ambassador to the Philippines will be a time where we can begin closer relationship. I look forward to that day and I think there are many possibilities.”
Pinasalamatan ni Pangulong Marcos ang pamahalaan ng Djibouti para sa pagtulong sa Filipino seafarers kung saan ang vessel ay tinamaan ng anti-ship missile sa Gulf of Aden.
“Thanks for all help that you have given [to the] Filipino seafarers in times of great need. And we hope to continue this relationship. And [I hope] the amity between our two countries will grow and [bring us closer],” ang sinabi ni Pangulong Marcos kay Ambassador Doualeh. Kris Jose
