MANILA, Philippines – SINABI ni Presidential Communications Office (PCO) Secretary Cesar Chavez na mababawasan ang bilang ng mga Contract of Service (COS) positions sa pagtatapos ng taon para pahintulutan ang regularisasyon sa lahat ng natitirang posisyon sa 2025.
Sa kanyang naging presentasyon sa PCO budget sa Mababang Kapulungan ng Kongreso, binigyang diin ni Chavez ang regularisasyon ng 217 COS personnel bilang bahagi ng reorganization process at sa panukalang bagong organizational structure, na isinumite noong May 2024 at kasalukuyang nirerebisa ng Department of Budget and Management (DBM).
“The PCO has already submitted to the DBM our proposed new structure last May 2024. According to the DBM, it is now being reviewed. Should it be approved, there will be hopefully a decrease in number of COS positions by the end of 2024 and hopefully, no more COS positions by 2025,” ayon kay Chavez.
“There are a total of 217 COS personnel who we also aim to be regularized through the ongoing reorganization process,” dagdag na wika nito.
Ang COS personnel, binigyang-diin ng Communications Chief, nagsilbing kinatawan ng maliit na bahagi ng 485 positions “as of June 30, 2024.”
Sinabi nito na may 267 plantilla posisyon, may 207 filled at 60 still unfilled, at ang PCO-Human Resource Management ay nasa proseso ng pagpupunan ng 50% sa mga bakante sa pagtatapos ng 2024.
“Our office, the proper itself, has a total of 485 positions as of June 30, 2024,” aniya pa rin.
“Of the 267 plantilla items, 207 are filled and 60 are unfilled. For the unfilled positions, the PCO HRM is currently screening applicants for the vacant positions in the hope of filling up at least fifty percent of vacancies by the end of this year,” ang sinabi ni Chavez.
Samantala, sinabi pa rin ng PCO Secretary na ang hiring process para punan ang mga bakanteng posisyon ay mahigpit na susunod sa rules and regulations na itinakda ng Civil Service Commission.
“The hiring process will be of course subjected to the existing rules and regulations set by the Civil Service Commission,” ang winika ni Chavez. Kris Jose
