MANILA, Philippines – Nagpadala na ng aircraft, Miyerkules ng umaga, Abril 2 ang Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) sa archipelagic waters upang hamunin ang presensya ng Chinese research ship, ayon kay PCG spokesperson for the West Philippine Sea Commodore Jay Tarriela.
Sa Kapihan sa Manila Bay, sinabi ni Tarriela na hindi awtorisado na magsagawa ng marine scientific research ang barko ng China at sila ay pinayuhan na lisanin ang baybayin ngunit hanggang sa ngayon ay hindi pa rin sila tumtuugon sa PCG aircrafts radio challenge.
“We’re challenging them that they are not authorized to conduct a marine scientific research and that, they are advised to leave the area if they are doing so,” saad pa ni Tarriela.
Sinabi ni Tarriela na ang research vessel Song Hang ay nasubaybayan sa layo na 58 nautical miles mula Aborlan, Palawan.
“I would just like to confirmed that there is a presence of a Chinese research vessel. This is an ongoing operation and I’m not authorized to disclose the full details,” pahayag ni Tarriela. Jocelyn Tabangcura-Domenden
