MANILA, Philippines – Pinagsisikapan na ng Department of Education na isama ang coding sa education system at palakasin ang competency ng mga estudyante at guro sa larangan ng teknolohiya.
Kasabay ng 4th Philippine-Singapore Business and Investment Summit sa Singapore nitong Biyernes, Setyembre 20, ibinahagi ni Education Secretary Sonny Angara ang mga hakbang ng Pilipinas na matuto mula sa Singapore pagdating sa education sector, lalo na sa pagtuturo ng coding sa mga estudyante.
Ani Angara, ang pamahalaan ng Pilipinas ay “working to incorporate coding into our curriculum and is utilizing educational technology, such as analytics, to assess learners in real-time.”
“This will allow teachers to focus more on teaching and less on administrative tasks, ultimately improving the quality of education,” dagdag pa niya.
Bilang pagpapatuloy, sinegundahan ni Angara ang target ng kasalukuyang administrasyon na ihanda ang mga mag-aaral sa mabilis na pagbabago ng global economy.
“Our biggest asset is our people. Under President Marcos Jr.’s leadership, we are envisioning a more creative and innovative Filipino learner, which will be a significant boost to the industry,” sinabi pa ni Angara. RNT/JGC
