MANILA, Philippines – Inaprubahan na ng House of Representatives ang panukala na gawing isang regular campus ang extension campus ng Eastern Samar State University (ESSU) sa bayan ng Arteche Eastern Samar.
Ayon kay House Speaker Martin Romualdez , may akda ng panukala, na layon ng House Bill (HB) No. 9772 o Eastern Samar State University-Arteche Campus Act ang pagsusulong ng edukasyon at pag unlad sa rehiyon.
“This bill signifies a significant step towards enhancing educational opportunities in Eastern Samar. The establishment of the ESSU-Arteche Campus will contribute to the human resource development needs of the province and Region VIII,” giit nito.
Sa oras na maisabatas ay magbibigay daan ito para makapagbigay ng short-term, technical-vocational, undergraduate at graduate courses.
Sinabi ni Tingog Partylist Rep. Yedda Romualdez na tututok ang campus sa mga kasanayan at specializations gayundin para sa socio-economic sa pamamagitan ng pagsasaliksik, extension services at production activities.
“This campus is not just about education; it’s about becoming a catalyst for progress in the region. It will play a vital role in providing leadership in research and development,” ani Rep Yedda.
Sa ilalim ng panukala, ang campus ay pamamahalaan ng Campus Administrator ng Board of Regents.
Ang Munisipalidad ng Arteche muna ang sasagot sa kakailangang pondo para sa transition at operasyon ng extension campus hanggang sa maisama ang kailangan nitong pondo sa taunang General Appropriations Act ng national government. Gail Mendoza
