MANILA, Philippines – PINASALAMATAN ni Budget Secretary Amenah Pangandaman ang Mababang Kapulungan ng Kongreso dahil sa napapanahong pag-apruba sa panukalang P6.352 trillion national budget para sa taong 2025.
Ito’y matapos aprubahan ng bicameral conference committee ang pinal na bersyon ng House Bill (HB) 10800 o ang 2025 General Appropriations Bill (GAB).
“We extend our sincerest gratitude to the leadership of both the Senate and the House of Representatives for their unwavering commitment and diligence in passing House Bill 10800 or the FY 2025 General Appropriations Bill on time,” ang sinabi ng Kalihim sa isang kalatas.
“Heartfelt thanks to Senate President Chiz Escudero; House Speaker Martin Romualdez; Senate Committee on Finance chairperson, Senator Grace Poe; House Appropriations Committee chairperson Rep. Zaldy Co; and the rest of our esteemed lawmakers for their steadfast support in navigating the complexities of budget formulation and deliberation during the past several months,”ang sinabi pa rin nito.
Ang panukalang 2025 national budget sa oras na maratipikahan ng Kongreso ay kaagad na ipadadala kay Pangulong Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. para lagdaan.
Sa ilalim ng panukalang 2025 GAB, makakukuha ang Office of the Vice President (OP) ng mas mababang budget na P733 million.
Base sa panukalang national budget para sa susunod na taon, ang alokasyon para sa Ayuda sa Kapos ang Kita (AKAP) Program ay natapyasan din. Sa katunayan, ang P39 billion ay P26 billion na lamang ito.
Tinuran ni Pangandaman na ang napapanahong pagkakapasa sa 2025 GAB ay mahalaga para mapanatili na nagpapatuloy ang operasyon ng gobyerno at tiyakin na ang mahalaga at kinakailangang serbisyo ay maihahatid ng walang pagkagambala.
“We are optimistic that the implementation of the 2025 national budget, which is expected to be signed by the President in the coming weeks, will lead to sustainable growth for our country and for all Filipinos,” ang sinabi ng Kalihim.
