MANILA, Philippines – Muling ipinaalala ng Department of Education (DepEd) nitong Miyerkules na ipinagbabawal ang paggamit ng gadgets habang may klase sa lahat ng pampublikong paaralan sa ilalim ng DepEd Order No. 6, Series of 2026 o Guidelines on Ensuring a Safe and Motivating Learning Environment (ESMLE).
Sa memorandum ng DepEd, sinabi ng ahensya na layunin ng polisiya na isulong ang ligtas at responsableng paggamit ng internet at mga electronic device.
“(The DO) expressly prohibits the use of portable electronic devices during instructional hours by both learners and personnel,” ayon sa Office of the Secretary.
“This includes the prohibition of the usage of, but not limited to, social media, online games, content creation, and vlogging during class hours.”
Nilinaw ng DepEd na maaari lamang gumamit ng gadgets para sa layuning pang-edukasyon o sa oras ng emergency, kabilang ang pag-access sa educational platforms, digital resources, authorized online activities, at komunikasyon sa panahon ng kalamidad, medical emergencies, at iba pang agarang sitwasyon.
Inatasan din ng DepEd ang lahat ng field offices at pampublikong paaralan na paigtingin ang information drive hinggil sa responsableng paggamit ng internet at mga kaugnay na electronic device. Santi Celario
