MANILA, Philippines – SIMULA Disyembre 6 ay matatanggap na ng 300,000 old-age at disability pensioners ng Government Service Insurance System (GSIS) ang kanilang Christmas cash gift.
Sa katunayan ipalalabas na ang P3.47 billion na pondo para rito.
Ang cash gift ay ike-kredito sa kanilang eCards.
Sinabi ni GSIS President a General Manager Wick Veloso
na ang Christmas cash gift ay katumbas ng one-month pension o P10,000 o kung ano ang mas mababa.
“Eligible to receive the Christmas cash gift are old-age and disability pensioners under Republic Act (RA) 8291 (GSIS Act of 1997); Presidential Decree 1146 (Revised GSIS Act of 1977); and Republic Act 660 (Magic 87, or the law that grants retirement at the minimum age of 52 as long as the member has been in government service for at least 35 years) who are receiving their regular monthly pensions and are alive as of Nov. 30, 2023,” ayon sa GSIS.
Kuwalipikado rin ang mga pensiyonado na makakuha ng five-year lump sum benefit at iyong mga ipinagpatuloy ang regular monthly pensions matapos ang Dec. 31, 2022 (kasunod ng five-year period); mga miyembro na nahiwalay na sa kanilang serbisyo mula 2007 hanggang 2023 bago pa naabot ang edad na 60 subalit nagsimula nang makatanggap ng kanilang regular monthly pension mula 2018 hanggang ngayon ; at iyong naging regular pensioners sa loob ng limang taon.
“Old-age and disability pensioners who are on suspended status due to non-compliance with the Annual Pensioners Information Revalidation will receive their cash gifts after they have reactivated their status,” ayon sa GSIS.
Samantala, ang mga hindi karapat-dapat na tumanggap ng cash gift ay “pensioners who availed of the five-year lump sum but will receive their regular monthly pension after Dec. 31, 2023; survivorship and dependent pensioners; pensioners who retired under Republic Act 7699 (Portability Law or contributions under both Social Security System and GSIS for purposes of eligibility and computations of benefits); at iyong mga tumatanggap ng pro-rata pension.”
Ang mga bagong retirado mula 2019 hanggang 2022 na nag-avail ng 18-month cash payment ng kanilang basic monthly pension at agarang pensyon sa ilalim ng RA 8291 ay makatatanggap ng kanilang cash gifts na limang taon matapos ang kanilang retirement. Kris Jose
