MANILA, Philippines – Malinaw na walang constitutional at factual groundals para suportahan ang anumang hakbang para sa impeachment laban kay Pangulong Ferdinand Marcos Jr., ayon kay Antipolo Rep Ronaldo Puno.
Ayon kay Puno, Presidente ng National Unity Party (NUP), siya at ang buong partido ay tutol sa pinauugong na isyu na impeachment laban kay PBBM.
“So I was asked a question about whether or not the NUP was going to support an impeachment complaint against President Marcos and my answer was definitely obviously no,” ani Puno.
Aniya, malinaw na walang basehan para sa paghahain ng impeachment at wala silang nakikitang dahilan para patalsikin sa pwesto ang administrasyon.
“The absence of credible allegations makes the issue a non-starter,” giit ni Puno.
Gayundin ang posisyon nina House Committee on Suffrage and Electoral chairman Zia Alonto at House Committee on Higher and Technical Education chairman Jude Acidre, anila, walang insidente na maaring maging batayan para magkaroon ng impeachment complaint ang Pangulong Marcos.
“As a third person observer, no I don’t think there’s any reason, unlike the previous impeachment of the Vice President where it was preceded by a series of investigations that at a certain point, it became clear to us that it was the logical and principal consequence of all the investigations that we’ve done,” paliwanag ni Acidre.
Sa panig ni Adiong, tinuring naman nito na “tsismis” lang ang impeachment laban kay PBBM.
“Unang-una, hindi natin alam kung sino ‘yung talagang gustong mag-file. Kaya nga very, very vague, shapeless, formless yung mga ganitong klaseng pag-uusap,” ani Adiong.
Sakali man na may maghain ng reklamo ng impeachennt, kumbinsido ang mga mambabatas na wala itong numero sa Kamara lalo at mayorya ng mga mambabatas ay nakasuporta sa kasalukuyang administrasyon. Gail Mendoza
