AS promised, Malabon Mayor Jeannie Sandoval has announced that the fourth tranche of the financial assistance through the Malabon Ahon Blue Card was already available for 93,409 households in the city.
It’s part of a commitment to deliver programs and services closer to the constituents, especially those from the poor sector which largely makes up the population in Malabon, the mayor said.
The Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability, and Learning Office, led by Catherine Larracas, said that residents may start claiming the financial aid until October 31, 2025.
City Administrator Alexander Rosete said the beneficiaries may claim the ‘ayuda’ (assistance) through BancNet-powered automated teller machines or by visiting any United Storefront Services Corporation nationwide.
“They can also use their MABCs as a debit card at any stores with point-of- sale devices or as an ATM debit card in malls, restaurants, drugstores, and other establishments that accept card payments,” Rosete said.
Launched in December 2022, the blue card serves as a platform for the city government to deliver effective, efficient, services to all Malabuenos with transparency.
As of August 27, there are already 93,457 MABCs distributed to the residents. There are also about 1,510 beneficiaries of the burial and hospitalization assistance and 3,378 ‘Eskwela’ Savings Program under the same program, the top city officials said.
The city government reminded residents to keep their MABC clean, store it in a protective case or wallet, away from magnets or electronic devices, to prevent scratches or damage, protect it from heat, sunlight, moisture, and humidity, and avoid dropping it or exposing it to sharp objects.
It also urged residents to report missing MABCs, forgotten PIN (personal identification number) and other concerns to the USSC or at the MABC Office at the city hall.
“Sa pagsisimula ng pamamahagi ng ika-apat na ayuda sa Malabon Ahon Blue Card, nais nating ipadama sa ating mga kababayan na tayo ay laging handang tumulong sa nangangailangan ano man ang panahon. Marami na ang programang nakapaloob sa MABC at ang mga ito ay maaaring maaccess ng ating mga kababayan,” Rosete said.
“Nawa ay gamitin ninyo ang ayuda sa ilalim ng programang ito para sa mga pangangailangan ninyo at ng inyong pamilya,” the city official added.
