Mga pulis na tumugis kay Quiboloy, kinilala ng PNP, DILG

MANILA, Philippines – Kinilala ng Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) at Philippine National Police (PNP) ang mga pulis na kabilang sa operasyon laban sa nagtagong self-appointed son of God na si Pastor Apollo Quiboloy sa compound ng Kingdom of Jesus Christ.

Sa seremonya nitong hapon ng Biyernes, Setyembre 27, ginawaran nina DILG Secretary Benhur Abalos at PNP Chief Police General Rommel Marbil ng Medalya ng Katapangan ang mga lider ng special task group na binuo para arestuhin si Quiboloy.

Sa speech, nagpasalamat si Torre sa Davso police para sa kanilang professionalism.

“I would like to state that this is also the time that Davao Police sheds its unpopular tag to be under the control of the politicians. Davao Police have shown that given the right time, opportunity, and situation, the PNP Davao showed its professionalism,” ani Torre.

“To all the adversaries that I have encountered here in Region XI, I would like to say that this has never been personal. This could just be part of the roles we play. and i would like to believe that everything came out to the best of the times,” dagdag pa niya.

Kasama rin sa pinarangalan ang mgs pulis na nasaktan sa 16 araw na implementasyon ng warrant of arrest.

Binigyan ang mga ito ng Medalya ng Sugatang Magiting.

Kinilala rin sa pamamagjtan ng Medalya ng Kadakilaan ang iba pang opisyal ng pulisya na may malaking tungkulin sa pagsisilbi ng warrant of arrest kay Quiboloy dahil sa kanilang pagpapakabayani at dedikasyon.

Ani Abalos, ang misyon na ito ay hindi biro at nangailangan ng masusing intelligence gathering, coordination, at tiwala.

“It was about meticulous planning and preparation. Bago magsimula ito, of course, nandyan ang meticulous intelligence gathering. Every scenario was considered, every risk assessed, every action is strategically aligned with the ultimate goal of ensuring success with minimal harm,” sinabi ni Abalos.

“It was about more than just enforcing the law, it was about ensuring the safety and security of our community and upholding the rule of law,” dagdag pa.

Samantala, tinatapos na lamang ni Abalos ang natirirang trabaho nito sa DILG bago ang kanyang paghahanda sa paghahain ng certificate of candidacy bilang senador para sa 2025 midterm elections.

Aniya, aktibo ang DILG at PNP sa pagpapanagot kina dating Bureau of Corrections chief Gerald Bantag at dating Negros Oriental 3rd District representative Arnolfo Teves, Jr.

Dagdag pa rito ay ang pagtugis kay dating presidential spokesperson Atty. Harry Roque, na nahaharap sa arrest order na inisyu ng Kongreso. RNT/JGC
