MANILA, Philippines- Sinimulan na ng Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) ang imbestigasyon sa narekober na submersible drone sa katubigan ng bayan ng San Pascual sa Masbate noong Dec. 30.
“The Philippine) Navy is currently conducting further investigation to determine its origin and purpose,” pahayag ni AFP spokesperson Col. Xerxes Trinidad.
Nadiskubre ng mga lokal na mangingisda ang drone sa katubigan ng Barangay Inirawan sa San Pascual dakong alas-6:15 ng umaga. Kalaunan ay itinurn-over ito sa mga pulis.
Ani Trinidad, hawak na ng AFP ang drone.
“We commend their vigilance and continued support in reporting suspicious activities and encourage ongoing cooperation to ensure the effective monitoring of our territorial waters,” ani Trinidad.
“The AFP is fully committed to ensuring the safety and security of our maritime domain, with all necessary resources mobilized to address similar and other situations with the utmost diligence,” dagdag niya. RNT/SA
