MANILA, Philippines- Nagtakda ng oral argument ang Supreme Court (SC) kaugnay sa mga petisyong kumukuwestiyon sa General Appropriations Act of Fiscal Year 2025 at sa Maharlika Investment Fund (MIF) of 2023.
Sinabi ni SC spokesperson Atty. Camille Ting, isasagawa sa April 1 ang oral arguments sa petisyon na inihain ni dating Executive Secretary Vic Rodriguez na humihiling na ideklarang unconstitutional ang national budget.
Idaraos ang oral argument sa En Banc Session Hall, sa SC Baguio Compound.
Kabilang pa sa mga petitioner ay sina Davao City 3rd District Representative Isidro Ungab, Rogelio Mendoza, Benito Ching Jr., Redemberto Villanueva, Roseller dela Peña, Santos Catubay, at Dominic Solis.
Kaugnay ito sa umano’y iregularidad at umano’y blank items sa bicameral conference committee report.
Samantala, ang oral argument naman para sa petisyong humihiling na mapawalang-bisa ang MIF dahil sa pagiging labag sa batas ay idaraos naman sa April 22, Martes, sa En Banc Session Hall sa Baguio.
Nagdesisyon din ang SC na isama bilang third party respondents ang Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP), Land Bank of the Philippines at Development Bank of the Philippines.
Inatasan ng SC ang mga ito na maghain ng komento sa loob ng 10 araw. Teresa Tavares
