METRO Manila’s five police districts have come together to wage a decisive war on crime, significantly boosting public safety across the region.
Their unified approach targets both high-profile criminals and street-level offenses, ensuring a well-rounded strategy for maintaining peace.
This collective effort, which aligns with strategic leadership from the National Capital Region Police Office, is proving effective in combating crime throughout the region.
At the forefront of these efforts are Philippine National Police Chief PLt.Gen. Jose Melencio ‘Tateng’ Nartatez Jr. and NCRPO director PMGen Anthony Aberin.
Nartatez’s Seven-Point Agenda, coupled with Aberin’s AAA Active, Able, Allied Crime Strategy, has shaped a comprehensive framework for crime prevention.
The strategies place a strong emphasis on intelligence-driven operations and proactive policing, leading to the arrest of hundreds of criminals, including several high-profile fugitives.
A notable success was a weeklong crackdown across Metro Manila, which saw 681 individuals arrested, including 337 wanted suspects.
The operation targeted serious crimes like rape and assault, as well as everyday offenses such as illegal gambling and drug activities. By mobilizing all five police districts, the NCRPO demonstrated the power of coordination and swift action in the face of crime.
A standout achievement was the NCRPO’s 24-hour operation, resulting in 272 arrests. This quick, targeted response showcases the efficiency of Nartatez’s Seven-Point Agenda, which calls for timely, decisive measures.
Aberin’s leadership, which stresses the importance of intelligence, ensures that operations are proactive, not just reactive.
The NCRPO’s successes highlight the effectiveness of unified policing and reinforce the government’s commitment to law and order.
In sum, the NCRPO’s recent achievements exemplify the power of coordinated policing, intelligent operations and strong leadership in making Metro Manila a safer place.
