PAMPANGA, Philippines – Nasamsam ng Criminal Investigation and Detection Group ang humigit-kumulang P133 milyon halaga ng pekeng sapatos sa isang compound sa Apalit, Pampanga noong Pebrero 26.
Ayon sa pahayag ng CIDG Region 3, ang mga pekeng produkto ay natagpuan sa Golden Haojia Industrial Compound sa Barangay Baluluc. Ito ay bunga ng search warrant mula sa Manila Regional Trial Court Branch 46 Judge Philip Charles Santos.
“The search at a warehouse reportedly operated by alias ‘GM’ in the Golden Haojia Industrial Compound resulted in the recovery of large volumes of counterfeit Crocs footwear, along with equipment and assorted documents,” sabi ng CIDG.
Bukod sa pekeng Crocs, nakumpiska rin ang iba pang knock off na sapatos. Tinukoy ng pulisya na wala ring iprinisintang permit o legal na dokumento ang warehouse personnel.
Ang operasyon ay bahagi ng “Oplan Megashopper,” laban sa economic sabotage at iligal na bentahan ng commercial products.
