UKRAINE – Kinondena ni Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky nitong Miyerkules, Disyembre 25 ang “inhumane” attack mula sa Russia, kung saan naglunsad ito ng mahigit 170 missiles at drones sa mismong araw ng Pasko.
Dahil dito ay nagresulta ang pag-atake sa malawakang brownouts.
Binulabog ng air raid alarm ang buong bansa bandang 5:30 ng umaga na sinundan ng ulat na naglunsad ang Russia ng Kalibr cruise missiles mula sa Black Sea.
“Putin deliberately chose Christmas to attack. What could be more inhumane? More than 70 missiles, including ballistic missiles, and more than a hundred attack drones. The target is our energy system,” ani Zelensky.
Ito na ang ikalabintatlong large-scale strike sa energy system ng Ukraine ngayong taon.
Samantala, isa sa Russian missile ay nakatawid sa Moldovan at Romanian airspace, ayon kay Foreign Minister Andriy Sybiga.
Mahigit 50 missile naman ang napabagsak ng Ukraine air force.
“Unfortunately, there are some hits. As of now, there are blackouts in several regions,” dagdag niya.
“Denying light and warmth to millions of peace-loving people as they celebrate Christmas is a depraved and evil act that must be answered,” pahayag ni DTEK CEO Maxim Timchenko at hinimok ang mga ka-alyado na magpadala ng mas maraming air defense.
Nagsisikap naman ang mga engineer para kumpunihin ang system.
“Christmas morning has once again shown that nothing is sacred for the aggressor country,” ani Svitlana Onyshchuk, pinuno ng Ivano-Frankivsk region.
Aniya, walang kuryente ang bahagi ng rehiyon “at a time when we celebrate one of the greatest religious holidays — the bright Christmas.”
