MANILA, Philippines – Itinuro ni Bicol Saro Party-list Rep. Terry Ridon si Salvador “Sal” Panelo na nakakatulog din sa impeachment trial ni Vice President Sara Duterte.
Ito ay matapos na punahin si Manila 6th district Rep. Bienvenido “Benny” Abante Jr. matapos mahuling natutulog sa impeachment trial ngayong linggo.
Bagamat aminado sa kakulangan ni Abante, sinabi ni Ridon na hindi rin dapat alisin sa kwensto si Panelo, dating chief presidential legal counsel.
Aniya, si Panelo na regular ding dumadalo sa proceedings at nagdedepensa kay Duterte, ay nahuhuli rin na nakakatulog.
“Sa final point on the matter, siyempre, in any proceeding, talaga naman po dapat represented po lahat,” sinabi ni Ridon.
“So, for example, you have the lawyers for the prosecution, you have lawyers for the defense. So sa puno ng tulugan, represented po lahat. So you have Sal Panelo for the defense, and you have Benny Abante for the prosecution,” dagdag pa ni Ridon.
“You have been seeing Secretary Panelo speaking every day, going there every day. I don’t know if he’s sleeping every day,” dagdag pa niya.
Bagamat hindi bahagi ng defense panel ni Duterte si Panelo, siya ay kilalang sumusuporta sa posisyon ng Bise Presidente sa paglilitis.
“But Congressman Benny Abante is also there, explaining to the public, sometimes sleeping. He’s taken responsibility for it,” ayon sa prosecution panel member.
“Pero I think ’yung mahalaga po ay ’yung mga tao pong ito ay nag-aambag sa diskurso dito po sa paglilitis.” RNT/JGC
