MANILA, Philippines- Idineklara ng Manila City ang half-day classes sa public at private schools at half-day work para sa government employees ngayong Miyerkules.
Sa pahayag nitong Martes, nilagdaan ni Manila Mayor Honey Lacuña ang Executive Order No. 8, Series of 2024, na nagdedeklara ng half-day classes at trabaho ngayong Mar. 27 para sa paggunita ng Holy Week.
“Whereas, to provide Manileños the full opportunity to properly observe the Semana Santa when families gather together for special meals, go to church for Easter vigils and mass, renew and recollect on their faith, spend time with their fellow religious and show their devotion to the Catholic Church, it is proper to give them enough time to prepare for the events leading to the observance of their remembrance of the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ,” saad sa kautusan.
Epektibo ang kautusan sa face-to-face at online classes at trabaho sa city government offices.
Samantala, mananatiling bukas ang city government offices na may kaugnayan sa pangangasiwa ng emergency response services.
Gayundin, tuloy ang operasyon ng Manila Disaster Risk Reduction Management Office, Department of Engineering and Public Works, Department of public Offices, Manila Traffic and Parking Bureau, Manila Health Department, anim na city hospitals at iba pang city agencies na naghahatid ng basic at health services.
Nakadepende naman sa mga pribadong opisina kung paiiralin din nila ang kautusang ito. RNT/SA
