PBBM nakipagpulong sa Japanese tourism sector

MANILA, Philippines – NAKAPULONG ni Pangulong Ferdinand Marcos Jr. ang mga Japanese tourism partner, araw ng Biyernes bilang bahagi ng kanyang working visit sa Japan.

Sa miting kasama ang tourism stakeholders, binigyan si Pangulong Marcos ng overview ng mahahalagang ‘interests at opportunities’ para sa Philippine tourism sa Japan.

Ang mga stakeholder ang tumatayong kinatawan ng mahahalagang larangan sa turismo kabilang ang ‘industry associations, travel at tour companies, airlines at airports.’

”Today, I met with Japanese tourism leaders who are helping us welcome more visitors than ever before, with 214 weekly flights connecting Japan and the Philippines,” ayon kay Pangulong Marcos.

”We are working to create more jobs for our people, help more businesses grow, and ensure more communities feel the impact of a strong tourism sector,” dagdag na wika nito.

Bahagi ng pulong sina Japan Tourism Agency (JTA), Japan Association of Travel Agents (JATA) Kansai / JTB West Japan Area Representative, Japan Philippines Tourism Council (JPTC), Kansai Regional Division, HIS Co., Ltd., Nippon Travel Agency, Hankyu Travel International Co., Ltd., Kansai Airports, Philippine Airlines (PAL), at Cebu Pacific.

Ayon kay Tourism Secretary Christina Frasco, binigyang diin ni Pangulong Marcos ang pagbibigay-priyoridad sa tourism development sa tulong ng imprastraktura.

Binanggit din aniya ng Pangulo ang development ng airports sa metro at sa ibang rehiyon.

”This was received very well by our Japanese stakeholders, especially considering that our data shows that Japanese travelers favor Cebu, Palawan, Boracay, Bohol, and are also very interested in other emerging island destinations across the country,” ang sinabi ng Kalihim.

“The President also gave his commitment as regards the Philippine government’s continued prioritization of connectivity,” aniya pa rin.

Binanggit din ni Pangulong Marcos ang Philippine Experience Heritage, Culture, and Arts Caravans ng Department of Tourism (DoT).

Samantala, sinabi naman ni Philippine Ambassador to Japan Mylene Garcia-Albano na nais ni Pangulong Marcos na ipakita ang pasasalamat nito sa lahat na sama-samang nagtrabaho para makapag-produce ng Philippine Pavilion sa World Expo Osaka 2025.

Inilarawan din nito ang relasyon sa pagitan ng Pilipinas at Japan bilang matatag, na may maraming sektor ang aktibo bilang resulta ng pagpapalitan ng high-level visits mula sa parehong bansa nito lamang nakalipas na buwan at taon. Kris Jose
