MANILA, Philippines – PATULOY na susuportahan ng administrasyon ni Pangulong Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. ang ‘capability developmet’ ng Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP).
Sa naging talumpati ng Pangulo sa 77th founding anniversary ng Philippine Air Force (PAF) sa Pampanga, sinabi nito na hindi nagbabago ang pagsisikap na ginagawa ng administrasyon gaya ng makakuha ng karagdagang air assets, paghusayin ang cyber warfare communication systems; at isulong ang base development programs.
“We have likewise acquired additional aircraft, as well as advanced radar systems, which have transformed our operational readiness and enhanced our operational reach,” ayon kay Pangulong Marcos matapos pangunahan, araw ng Lunes ang 77th founding anniversary ng Philippine Air Force (PAF) sa Pampanga.
“Indeed, these assets contribute to an agile Air Force—capable of protecting our nation, our people, and our resources; and dedicated to ensure that we are ready to face challenges with advanced precision, speed, and force,” dagdag na wika nito.
Nagpahayag naman ng kasiyahan si Pangulong Marcos, nagsisilbi rin bilang Commander-in-Chief ng AFP, na nakiisa sa “faithful guardians” ng Philippine aerial domain sa kanilang anibersaryo.
Kinilala naman nito ang PAF para sa “soaring through the skies, “gallantly embodying the Filipinos’ enduring spirit of freedom.”
Nagpaabot naman ng kanyang pasasalamat si Marcos sa mga magigiting na opisyal at tauhan ng PAF sa pangunguna ni Lt Gen. Stephen Parreño. Binati rin ng Pangulo ang mga tauhan ng PAF na pinarangalan para sa kanilang ‘outstanding performance.’
“The PAF organizes, trains and equips forces for prompt and sustained air operations to defend the Philippines,” ayon sa ulat.
“As your Commander-in-Chief, I assure you of this Administration’s support in prioritizing your welfare, ensuring that you are well attended to in terms of overall health and wellness so you may perform your duties effectively and safely,” ayon sa Pangulo.
“Let it be known that your unparalleled dedication and noble duty to our nation are hereby recognized,” dagdag na wika nito.
“Together, let us fortify our efforts to build a stronger Air Force and Armed Forces of the Philippines that will serve as an instrument for peace and for unity, a catalyst for nation-building, and a vanguard of stability,” lahad pa rin ng Pangulo.
Tinuran pa ng Pangulo na gumagawa na ng mahalagang hakbang ang gobyerno na magko- complement at magpapalakas sa pananaw ng administrasyon para sa isang mas malakas at may kakayahan na Air Force sa pamamagitan ng pinaigting na maritime domain awareness sa loob ng Philippine Air Force Defense Identification Zone.
“We have likewise supported internal security operations, which have resulted in the surrender and neutralization of over two hundred and fifty members of local insurgency groups,” ang tinuran ng Pangulo.
“We have also heightened our international defense and security engagements by sustaining our talks with our foreign military counterparts and participating in multiple bilateral and multilateral military exercises,” aniya pa rin.
Winika pa ng Punong Ehekutibo na ang mahalagang hakbang na ginagawa ng pamahalaan para palakasin ng PAF capability ay testimonya o patunay ng mahigpit na pagpapasya ng gobyerno na maiaambag sa global peace at security.
“In all of these, the selfless women and men of the Air Force have been nothing short of exemplary, especially in your efforts to provide prompt assistance by regularly conducting humanitarian and disaster response operations,” ayon sa Chief Executive.
Samantala, hinikayat naman ng Pangulo ang PAF na sumulong gamit ang gabay na mithiin ng Bagong Pilipinas at manatiling nagkakaisa sa kanilang misyon “to protect our skies, defend our lands, and serve the Filipino people.” Kris Jose
