PDEA: 29,390 barangay drug-cleared na

MANILA, Philippines- Iniulat ng Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) onitong Huwebes na 69.97 porsyento, o 29,390 barangay sa buong bansa, ang “cleared” na sa ilegal na droga.

Sa ulat, sinabi ng PDEA na 42,002 barangay sa bansa ang dating tinukoy na “drug-affected.” 

Idineklara ang 29,390 barangay na “drug-cleared” ng Regional Oversight Committee on Barangay Drug Clearing  (ROCBDC) matapos sumailalim sa Barangay Drug Clearing Program (BDCP), base sa PDEA. 

“A barangay is declared cleared from illegal drug activities upon satisfying the parameters set forth in Dangerous Drugs Board Regulation No. 4 Series of 2021, otherwise known as Sustaining the Implementation BDCP and Repealing for such purpose Board Regulation No. 3 Series of 2017,” paliwanag ng ahensya.

Binubuo ang ROCBDC ng regional representatives ng Department of the Interior and Local Government, Philippine National Police, Department of Health, at local government units.

Samantala, 6,113 barangay sa buong bansa (14.55 porsyento) ang nananatiling drug-affected, na ayon sa PDEA ay nangangahulugang ang mga awtoridad “reported and validated” ang presensya ng mga indibidwal na sangkot sa ilegal na droga.
