MANILA, Philippines – Nakabalik na sa bansa ang Philippine Inter-Agency Humanitarian Contingent (PIAHC) na ipinadala sa Myanmar para tumugon sa mga biktima ng lindol sa lugar.
Sa Facebook post, sinabi ng Office of Civil Defense (OCD) na ang 89 miyembro ng contingent ay dumating sa Villamor Air Base sakay ng Philippine Air Force C-130 cargo aircraft.
Kabilang sa PIAHC ang mga miyembro mula sa OCD, Philippine Air Force, Philippine Army, Department of Health – Philippine Emergency Medical Assistance Team (PEMAT), Metropolitan Manila Development Authority, Bureau of Fire Protection, Department of Environment and Natural Resources Emergency Response Team, Energy Development Corporation, at Apex Mining Co., Inc.
Hanggang nitong Abril 12, tinapos na ng contingent ang kanilang operasyon.
“With deep gratitude, I humbly receive the message of appreciation from the President and the Secretary of National Defense. It is a great honor for me as the Contingent Commander and my team to serve in the name of our country,” ayon kay PIAHC contingent commander Lieutenant Erwen Diploma.
Sinabi rin ng OCD na isinagawa ng PEMAT ang kanilang final medical consultation at nagpaabot ng mga kailangang suplay sa Myanmar Ministry of Health.
Nitong Sabado, inihatid ng C-130 ang cargo na naglalaman ng hygiene kits at tarpaulin sheets patungong Myanmar.
